meanwhile, in Teheran...

...The shit seems to be hitting the fan really hard. People are drawing comparisons to Tienanmen; personally, I'm hoping the Iranians find their Ataturk and chuck Ahmedinijad and his mullahs in the atomic dustbin of history instead.

If Ahmedinajad is overthrown but the Supreme Leader remains in power then Iran will still be on a course to disaster, though with a possibility of future escape through an Iranian President grasping the situation and overthrowing the Islamic part of the Republic. If the Supreme Leader is also overthrown, I'm not sure that Iran going nuclear would be such a problem -- I mean, Iran would still be going nuclear but it would then be like Egypt going nuclear.

On Iran's current course they are very likely to suffer nuclear devastation, and possibly even depopulation.
