My friend Joel Stitzel did a radio show for years called "Cosmic Slop", where they would play stuff from the 70s, but only stuff that wasn't "70s music" that you would hear on the radio.

I had the right general idea. ;)

Seriously, though, I did tune into Radio K now and again - IIRC, Cosmic Slop came on right before "Some Assembly Required", a weird little show with lots of...I don't know what the term is, but music composed largely of samples, a la the Evolution Control Committee.

Man, the popular music sucked when I graduated from high school. There are many more songs I like on the 1977 list than there are on the 2001 list.
