Too much sturm und drang

Yesterday might as well have been Monday.

Well, I don't know what to think at this point. The CEO has quit the game (but will apparently continue running the Fleet), the whole business with DS1 and Sharkbait was a non-issue, and CCP's reaction to the exposure of them being all buddy-buddy with BoB is "So what? Oh yeah, if you keep talking about this anywhere except our forums (which we can shut down and censor at will) we'll talk to our lawyers." So...lots of drama and trolling and shitposting. I think this is a good time to take a couple days' vacation from the GoonFleet forums, since the whole thing is giving me a headache. Meanwhile, I'm finally into a mining barge. Time to work on sharpening my refining skills...while CCP may have stacked the deck at the strategic level, at the individual level this is still a fun game to play.

As if that weren't enough, apparently the student loan folks have calculated that I need to fork out $666.05 a month to them, which would be pretty laffo if I could actually afford it. That's more than my flipping rent and utility payments added together. *groans* I guess I'll have to get on the horn with them and find out what my options are.

The cherry on top of the steaming shit sundae is some unexpected crap from people I honestly thought better of. Thanks a lot, guys, thanks for giving me another reason to not miss this wretched excrescence of a state when I leave. As if I didn't have enough perfectly good reasons already. Thanks so very fucking much.

Thanks. It'd be a nice change of pace.
