I thought this was Minnesota.

Management is sending us home on account of the impending blizzard as of 2 PM.
More time to kill and/or be killed on EVE, yay.

UPDATE: Wow, that was entertaining. The driver of the 535 bus I was on took the ramp off 35W at 66th a little too fast and wound up sliding halfway into the intersection at the bottom. Weehu. Nobody hurt, thank God, but it was real interesting for a couple minutes there. Visibility is shit right now, measured in yards instead of miles, because there's a lot of snow coming down and it's coming down fast. Me, I'm not going anywhere until tomorrow morning, assuming of course that we're open tomorrow.

Take a wild guess where I am right now.

I brought a blanket, a pillow, a change of clothes, and six books. Also, dinner.

They made you come in to work the night shift?

I didn't know how the roads would be to get me home (they were fine) so I brought things with me in case I had to camp out.

I worked the usual 1-10. I was supposed to go home when the last tech left the field, which was at about 2130. Of course. I stayed until 2200, because what was the point?
