Grades fall, everybody dies

I woke this morning at 0600, hit the snooze alarm a couple of times, and still managed to feel fairly well rested. That was the high point of the morning. Blood sugar was an unusually low 78 this morning, my fantasy baseball team has slipped back to fifth, we barely made it to the P&R this morning, and when I got to work there were two messages from the MA program director at St. Mary's informing me that since I hadn't gotten the work in one time for the Social Studies Methods class, I'd failed it and would therefore be dismissed from the college unless I successfully appealed to the associate dean. Which I'll do, of course. I don't have much of an alternative. I don't want to try and figure out what my chances are with the dean, really - the bottom line is that I can't afford not to keep going since I'm in no position to start repaying my student loans.

I shouldn't be letting it bother me this much, but I'm finding it hard to concentrate on getting any work done. Yay, stress, it makes me scattered and ineffective if I let it. Fortunately I can do the balancing with half my brain tied behind my back. Where's my bungee cords? Where's my duct tape?
