Oops. Brain fart.

In all the excitement this morning (inporting bookmarks to the Deskpro's copy of Firefox, fanboying over today's Megatokyo strip, etc.) I think I forgot to take my meds. I'll know for sure around lunchtime.

Finished Tim Powers' Earthquake Weather yesterday and am now several chapters into Clive Barker's The Great And Secret Show. stuckintraffik was right, there's not much here that looks like Gaiman's American Gods. Good book so far anyway.

UPDATE: I guess I did remember after all, since my lunchtime blood sugar was 97 at 11 AM. Of course, that was almost six hours ago, and I'm starting to get hungry.

Told ya. The sequel Everville is okay, and has some interesting bits, but overall I say just stick with tG&SS. I think you'll probably enjoy that one more on its own. Hell, I think anyone would. Everville just kind of... has large portions of suck between the good stuff.

G&SS is seven kinds of weird so far. Like a lot of "modern" horror, it gives the eminently creepy feeling that this kind of stuff could actually be going on, just outside the limits of our vision. Brrr.

I used to be a huge MT fan, then I sort of dropped out. Now I never read it beacuse I always think I start where I left off.

I would recommend the manga version to you, in that case. Easier to leave bookmarks in - which is why I never bought into the notion that e-books were going to catch on.
