You knew it was too good to be true

The Walken for President campaign is a hoax.

I thought the policy statements needed more cowbell anyway.

Damn... I was hoping for a future where every PA system had cowbell going all the time...

I liked "Don't Fear The Reaper" the first 50 times I heard it, too...but now it's one of my least favorite BOC songs.

To be completely honest, I've never heard the song all the way through. I've just heard the beginning parts.

It's a pretty cool song, a pretty good example of the proto-Goth rock that BOC became known for. Worth listening to the lyrics - it's not about suicide, despite what some folks say.

Yeeeeeaahhh. I hate to say everyone who sent me that link "I told you so" but-- wait, I don't hate it at all. DUH. HOAX. It was the press release that wasn't featured in any form of press whatsoever beyond the site that gave it away. Another great day in Don't Believe Everything You Hear on the Internet.

Although President Walken would have been pretty kickin, I must say.

Kind of makes you wonder what they are doing with the email addresses they are collecting for the newsletter that doesn't exist. Are the people that were gullible enough to sign up now receiving spam? Are there any laws against collecting email addresses and other personal information for fraudulent reasons? I would think there would be.
