no tigers at the tiger mart :3

Spent most of the day washing clothes, sleeping, playing the Kharkov 1942 scenario from Operational Art of War and fighting with Windows Media Player over the most recent mix CD...kept losing the whole playlist when I was trying to delete Billy Joel's "Goodnight Saigon", which is one of my favorites but was horribly inappropriate for a Frank Zappa/Steely Dan CD.

Anyway, I eventually motored out to Ashburn to join P and RS for dinner at Pho Bistro, which was excellent as usual, then hung out for a while talking about music, Garrison Keillor's Lake Wobegon podcast, and RS' planned expedition to the Frozen Wasteland of Prudhoe Bay via the Alcan, which will be a truly epic drive. Actually, you can only get as far as Deadhorse, but considering the place is colder than Minnesota in the winter and has even worse mosquito infestations in the summer (to say nothing of the flies) getting to Deadhorse is good enough, I daresay.

On the way home I hit the Fair Oaks Walmart for groceries and the Exxon for gas. Sadly, they had no tigers for sale. Not that I expected (or wanted) one of these, but something like this would have been cool. I say, what's the point of calling it a Tiger Mart if they don't sell tigers?
