Halfway through the marathon

Yesterday's work day seemed to take forever to get through, but it finally ended at 5 and I headed out for the bus with phoenixalpha in tow - her phone had run out of zap and Scott was headed off to fix a friend's bathtub out in the St. Paul 'burbs. All the phone calls this week had failed to turn up my sunglasses, so we wound up going to Pearle where I ordered a new set of shades. These are going to be Polaroids instead of the high-index polycarbonate greys I got last year, which is actually better IMAO since the greys didn't do all that good a job of screening out the glare. The greys may have been great for preventing UV damage, but at this point I'm not all that concerned with the long term - I want the glare and the photons to go away NOW. The eyes will last as long as they need to. Afterwards, since phoenixalpha had foolishly relied on her mother for rations that day, we headed over to Q Cumbers and ate large quantities of salad-type food before heading home.

I did neither laundry nor homework last night, choosing an early bedtime instead. This seemed more sensible since I have another class this morning (in about 45 minutes) and then the AD meeting, which will probably be followed by Melody's graduation dinner since she finally got the last of her grades from MCOOL in the mail yesterday. An A, 2 B's and a D. *sigh* Well, a D is still passing.

Tomorrow, Mass in the morning, Minnetokyo at night, and possibly helping frozendragon unpack in between. Somewhere in there I need to do homework and laundry, since all my work for reading class is due on Wednesday and I really need to get cranking as Monday is blocked out for work on next week's Social Studies assignment and Tuesday I'm seeing the parish advocate about the annullment.

UPDATE I thought I'd done a writeup on The Venus Wars, and sure enough here it is.

This isn't really about what you wrote, but I wanted to let you know I've added you to my friends list. It's okay if you don't want to add me back, though.

Thanks. Do I know you from somewhere?

Sorry I couldn't make it to the meeting today-- transportation issues, as usual.

What did you think of Venus Wars?

Also, you may be interested to know that I could be running a Twilight 2000 campaign eventually.

I liked Venus Wars, and thought I'd thrown a review up here someplace along with one for Nurse Witch Komugi, but I can't find them, so I dunno...

I was at today's AD meeting. I've purposely left my identity vague in my LJ. I know there are a couple of people who have LJ's who don't like me and if they stumble across my LJ I don't want them to know who I am.
