Looks promising

A review of the new Miyazaki movie, Howl's Moving Castle, from National Review Online, of all places. Contains spoilers.

The movie is amazing! I sawe it a few months back. But it was the Japanese version without subtitles. Thankfully, my japanese friends graciously explained the hard parts to me.

It is one of the most dreamy and beautiful Miyazaki creations ever, definitely at par with totoro and Laputa.

stuckintraffik agrees; he says it rocks. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Not rocks - it has flaws, and they are glaring, although basically all story related. However, the film is stunningly beautiful, and well worth the watch. The war subplot is poorly tacked on, and the limits of the curse are poorly defined. Those don't detract to the point where you shouldn't watch it - indeed, it is quite enjoyable. And big screens are just more fun. ;)
