Favorite Song: Changes depending on my mood, really. Overall, it's probably James McMurtry's Too Long In The Wasteland. It's my song, baby.
My earliest memory of music: Hymns being sung in church, I'm sure, but I can't fix on any particular one. The first musical thing I distinctly remember is the station ID for WWL in New Orleans, and the first song, I think, is Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman.
A significant song from your elementary school: *waves hands in frustration* I was musically illiterate before junior high school. Can't remember a song that meant anything to me from elementary school.
A significant song from your
Your first kiss or slow dance: Both of those were pretty forgettable, with girls whose names I can't even remember. Probably Chicago's Color My World. There was no escape from that damn song in my high school years.
A significant song from high school.: BTO's Take It Like A Man and Away From Home. Honorable mention to Jackson Browne's The Pretender.
A song you sang the first time you drove alone, with the windows down and the stereo turned up really loud: Jackon Browne, The Boulevard. "Nobody knows you! Nobody tells you what they're thinkin'..."
Your senior class or prom song Chicago's Color My World. It could have been worse.
An important song from graduation or shortly thereafter: Alice Cooper's I Never Cry and Alan Parsons Project I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You. This was a good year for rock - Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, KISS and the Eagles were getting a lot of play on my turntable and on the radio.
An important song from your first year of college: Jennifer Warnes' Right Time of the Night.
A song that reminds you of your first love: Jackson Browne, You Love The Thunder. Anything by Jackson Browne, really. She was really into his music.
The song you listened to after your first/worst breakup: Outskirts, by James McMurtry; also White Lies and Somewhere Within, by Jason & The Scorchers.
A song you think describes you pretty well during this period: Too Long In The Wasteland.
Two songs which are important to you: Megumi Hayahibara's Show Me Happiness from the All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku soundtrack and Ruka Imai's Truth, the closing song for the first two seasons of Revolutionary Girl Utena. Also, because I'm a vengeful grudge-carrying dog, Metallica's Master of Puppets.
