Well...that's an upgrade, I guess.

Says here that the Nats signed free-agent outfielder Jayson Werth, mere days after losing the Big Donkey, Adam Dunn, to the White Sox. This leaves the Nationals (again) with an excess of outfielders, but with a hole at first, which is a position they don't really have anyone in the minors ready to step up and fill. I also note that they re-signed C Jesus Flores and IF "Attorney General" Alberto Gonzales, so between Gonzalez and Espinosa we should be set up the middle for possibly the first time since the franchise moved here from Montreal. Be interesting to see how this all works out in 2011.
